Amount Needed for Idaho Statewide Campaign:  $402,960

Townsquare Media's proposed statewide campaign raises awareness for Idaho’s missing children—especially the search for Michael Vaughan—through a coordinated mix of broadcast and streaming radio, Meta social, podcasts, and programmatic audio. Townsquare Media will leverage its stations across the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley, with added reach in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Coeur d’Alene, and Lewiston. As a nonprofit initiative, it includes bonus on-air inventory to boost frequency, while refreshed creative and updates keep messaging relevant—driving an estimated reach of over 500,000. We’re calling on local businesses to join us in supporting this $402,960 initiative to help expand its impact across Idaho.

"Due to serious complexities of this case, law enforcement and prosecutors desperately need to find Michael Vaughn. Without his body, those currently being sentenced cannot be prosecuted fully. There is always a hope that Michael will return home alive and well."

Personal Message to All Idaho Residents

Our heart breaks for the Vaughn family and little Michael, who has been missing from Fruitland, Idaho, since July 2021. A suspect has been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in Michael’s disappearance. Even with these charges, there are more potential suspects tied to Michael’s case. It is imperative that Michael’s body is recovered.

We have partnered with Townsquare Media to help amplify this urgent search. Michael deserves to be found. His family deserves answers and justice. Let’s stand together as Idahoans and never stop looking until he is brought home.

If you have any information that could help bring Michael home or assist law enforcement, please contact authorities immediately. Tips can be submitted anonymously.

Stand Up For Idaho

"Residents and law enforcement of Idaho, we stand together to account for and protect our children fearlessly."

- The Power of Proximity: Statistics show that the first few hours are critical, but the long-term awareness of a community is what solves cold cases.

- Statewide Accountability: We advocate for enhanced coordination between Idaho's rural sheriffs and urban police departments to ensure no child slips through the cracks of a jurisdictional boundary.

- A Culture of Protection: "Protecting fearlessly" means more than just looking at a poster; it means being the kind of neighbor who notices when something is wrong and has the courage to speak up.

FRUITLAND YOU ARE NOT ALONE

On July 2021 in Fruitland, Idaho, five-year-old Michael “Monkey” Vaughan disappeared from his neighborhood near Southwest 9th Street. His case quickly expanded beyond a local search and became a statewide effort across Idaho.

This website exists to keep cases like Michael’s active and visible. Every missing child matters—no matter how much time has passed. Our mission is simple: raise awareness, push for action, and advocate for every child until they are found.

The Search for Michael: A Five-Year Journey

Due to serious complexities of this case, law enforcement and prosecutors desperately need to find Michael Vaughn. Without his body, those currently being sentenced cannot be prosecuted fully. There is always a hope that Michael will return home alive and well.

The investigation into Michael’s disappearance has been one of the most exhaustive in the history of the Pacific Northwest. Since 2021, local, state, and federal agencies have worked in a seamless, multi-jurisdictional effort to uncover the truth. From the initial weeks of door-to-door canvassing to the intensive excavations of 2022 and 2023, the commitment of law enforcement has never wavered.

As we move through 2026, the case has entered a critical new phase in the courtroom. With preliminary hearings bringing new evidence to light and the justice system moving toward a trial for those charged, the need for public awareness is greater than ever. We are not just waiting for justice; we are active participants in ensuring the search stays in the light.

YOUR HELP MATTERS, YOU ARE THE EYES FOR THE POLICE

You might wonder what one person can do in the face of such a complex investigation. The answer is simple: You are the eyes the police cannot have everywhere.

A missing person case is often solved by a single detail—a memory of a vehicle, a conversation overheard years ago, or a face recognized from a printable poster in a gas station window. By engaging with this site, sharing our content, and keeping Michael’s story alive in your social circles, you are directly contributing to the momentum of the search.
